Your upcycled piece is a work of wearable art, carefully transformed by hand using a blend of fibers, textures, paint, and details like chains, pins, or stitched-on patches. Please follow these care instructions to help it last beautifully over time:

  𝓒𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰

  • Hand wash only. Never put your piece in a washing machine;
  • Fill a clean basin or sink with cool to lukewarm water and a small amount of gentle detergent (like wool wash or baby shampoo);
  • Gently submerge the piece and swish it around without rubbing or scrubbing;
  • Let it soak for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with cool water until all soap is gone;
  • Be extra gentle around painted areas, metal parts, or appliquésdon’t rub or twist them;

𝓓𝓻𝔂𝓲𝓷𝓰

  • Do not wring or twist;
  • Gently press out excess water with your hands, avoiding any painted or glued details;
  • Lay the piece flat on a dry surface, reshaping it to its natural shape, especially important for items with crochet straps, painted sections, or structured parts;
  • Avoid using a towel to roll or blot the piece, as that may pull on sensitive materials;
  • Air dry flat, out of direct sunlight or heat sources;

𝓟𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓐𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓼

  • Painted fabric is sealed but delicate. Avoid friction, folding sharply across painted areas, or stacking other clothes on top of them;
  • Do not iron over painted areas. If needed, turn the piece inside out and iron carefully around the art;

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓼, 𝓟𝓲𝓷𝓼, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓜𝓮𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓓𝓮𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓵𝓼

  • If metal elements are present (chains, pins, rings), dry them gently with a cloth if they get wet;
  • Avoid perfume or moisture directly on metal to prevent tarnish or rust.
  • Be careful when handling to avoid catching or bending these pieces.

𝓢𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓪𝓰𝓮

  • Store flat or hang on padded hangers if the piece is structured.
  • Do not tightly fold or crush the piece, especially over painted or embellished areas.
  • If storing long-term, use a breathable fabric bag or wrap in acid-free tissue paper.
